About Susan Bilheimer 
Susan Bilheimer is a successful Technical and RFP Response Writer. Among her accomplishments, she has produced style guides, an Oracle navigation guide, Oracle Financials documentation, and RoboHELP, WinHELP and cross-platform WebHELP documentation. Susan has also written over 200 responses to government Requests for Proposal (RFPS), helping the company for whom she worked win millions of dollars in contracts.
As a dynamic spokesperson, encouraging new entries into the field of technical writing, she has been interviewed by such newspapers as The Dallas Morning News and the Palm Beach Post. Susan's career is a case study of a struggling freelance writer who recognized that by blending creative writing skills with the structure of technical documentation, she could turn a VERY part-time writing career into an exceptionally lucrative full-time writing profession!
In a previous incarnation, Susan was a Commercial Casting Director in New York City. Between then and now, she was also a secretary, waitress, database designer, car salesperson, and computer tutor. She firmly believes in the power of people's desire to create powerful change in their lives.
To assist other writers, as well as those changing careers, or just graduating from college, in recognizing the opportunities that abound in this exploding field, she wrote “How to Become a Technical Writer.” Through this book, it is her hope that others in her situation will discover that they, too, can turn their talents into exceedingly profitable careers.
Susan is also the CEO and founder of Very Peri, Inc. She is currently writing a book with Dr. Robert J. Echenberg on pelvic pain and its effect on relationships (www.SecretSuffering.com). She also developed and maintains www.PerimenopauseSupport.com, a website devoted to providing information to help women manage symptoms of perimenopause.
